City of Rutledge Special Called Meeting - April 5, 2022 PDF Print E-mail

CALL TO ORDER

Mayor Bruce Altznauer called to order the special called meeting on the above date. Council members Brenda Thompson, Brandie Owens, Adam Beckstine and Anthony Sells were present as were members of the public.

PLEDGE OF ALLEDGIANCE

Mayor Bruce Altznauer called for and led the Pledge of Allegiance.

DISCUSSION / APPROVAL BUSINESS LICENSE – VETERAN’S ARMORY

Mayor Altznauer stated an application for a business license for Veteran’s Armory had been submitted by Alan Switzer and Jake Coggins. He advised the council that the City attorney had reviewed it and they have their background checks and needed a motion for approval. Tony Sells asked if there would be a shooting range. Both applicants were present and Mr. Switzer said there would not be a shooting range. He said it will be retail gun and ammo sales. He asked where the business would be located. Mayor Altznauer said it will be located at 148 Atlanta Hwy between Rutledge Wings and the gas station, suite B. Brenda Thompson made motion to approve the business license for Veteran’s Armory. Adam Beckstine seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.

BUDGET WORK SESSION

Debbie Kilgore asked the Council if the work session could be scheduled after the regular meeting on April 19th. The council agreed and the work session will be April 19th after the regular meeting.

Brandie Owens made motion to adjourn at 6:10 pm. Brenda Thompson seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.
