CALL TO ORDER

Mayor Bruce Altznauer called to order the regular meeting of City of Rutledge at 7:01 PM on the above stated date. Council members Brenda Thompson, Brandie Owens, Adam Beckstine and Tony Sells were present as were members of the public. City Attorney John Nix was also present.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

Mayor Altznauer called for and led the Pledge of Allegiance.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES – AUGUST 17, 2021

Council member Brandie Owens made motion to approve the minutes of the August 17, 2021, meeting as submitted. Adam Beckstine seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.

PUBLIC HEARING

Mayor Altznauer recessed the regular meeting in order to re-open the Public Hearing regarding zoning map amendment request of Elgen Homes, Inc. to rezone.5 acres from R3 to R2 on Fairplay street and zoning map request of Elgen Homes, Inc. to rezone 67.39 acres from AR to R2 on Williams Street. Public comment closed and deliberation of the Council began during segment of public hearing conducted on August 17, 2021.

Attorney John Nix advised deliberation of Council to be continued as to:

(a) Consideration of letter of withdrawal submitted by applicant as to both zoning map amendment requests.

Council member Tony Sells made motion to accept the request of Elgen Homes, Inc. dated September 13, 2021, to withdraw its zoning map amendment request to rezone .5 acres from R3 to R2 on Fairplay Street (Tax Parcel R01067) and to withdraw its zoning map amendment request to rezone 67.39 acres from AR to R2 on Williams Street (Tas Parcel 012133). Brenda Thompson seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.

(b) Any further action necessary, if any relative to the consideration of the zoning map amendment requests.

There were no further actions by council on this matter. Attorney John Nix stated the public hearing for zoning map amendment requests was now closed.

Mayor Altznauer reopened the regular meeting with the next item on the agenda for the regular meeting.

QUOTE FOR SIDEWALK REPLACEMENT – NEWBORN ROAD

Mayor Altznauer advised the council that the sidewalk on Newborn Road was in bad shape and he had received a quote from Charles Harris a Rutledge resident to take up, dispose and put down new concrete for $26,275.00. The quote also includes the use of a tractor and grinder and includes fill dirt, form boards, landscaping and labor. Tony Sells asked if this was the only quote. Mayor Altznauer said yes. Council member Sells said he thought there should be more than one quote before they decide. Mayor Altznauer advised the council that he would get more quotes in the next few days and would email them.

MOLLY LESNIKOWSKI – EVENT UPDATE

Molly Lesnikowski was present and gave the council an update on all the events that will be happening through the end of the year.

WATER COMPLAINT – MARTINI CROWLEY

Martini Crowley was not present

Brenda Thompson made motion to adjourn at 7:24. Tony Sells seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.
